The steps for encrypting a non-system partition of a hard drive are exactly the same as for encrypting a USB flash drive.
Encryption method
Step 1 Right click on the partition you want to encrypt, select the "Enable BitLocker" option, then select the "Unlock drive with password" check box in the dialog box that pops up, and set the password in the corresponding field. After setting up, click the "Next" button.
Step 2 In order to avoid the embarrassment of the user forgetting the key and losing access to the data, the wizard provides the recovery key. Users can save the recovery key to a file or print it out and put it in a safe place. In this example, save to a file.
Step 3 Click the "Start Encryption" button to start encryption. The encryption process may take several minutes or longer, depending on the size of the drive. Please wait patiently. After the encryption is complete, click Close in the dialog box that is displayed.
After the encryption is complete, to access the encrypted USB flash drive or hard disk partition in the future, you need to enter the correct password to unlock the drive
